South Dakota is the latest state that is sending personnel to the Texas border with Mexico. Governor Kristi Noem announced that she is deploying up to fifty National Guard troops to the Lone Star State in response to Governor Abbott's request for help with the surge in migrants. Noem blasted the Biden Administration in the announcement, claiming that the president has "failed to keep America safe." Noem's office says the deployment is being funded by a private donation.
