The Texas House Democratic Caucus says three House Democrats have tested positive for COVID-19. All three members who tested positive are fully vaccinated although their names were not released. This comes after the lawmakers broke quorum to block the Texas House from voting on a controversial voting law and fled the state for Washington, DC.

One House Democrat was notified of their positive test late Friday but they do not have symptoms at this time, according to Texas House Democratic Caucus officials. Most of the Texas legislators are staying in the same hotel.

Vice President Kamala Harris was at a meeting with some of the House Democrats on Tuesday, but officials say she was not close enough to those who have tested positive to be at risk.
